Falling to Earth ring
This is a one of a kind hand fabricated ring made from sterling silver sheet, wire & tubing. The focal stone is a unakite with greens and oranges. Above the unakite is a 3/4 karat Oregon sunstone that has a sparkly inclusion. Size 9- cannot be sized.
I made this ring right before a trip to Port Townsend and didn't really have any idea what to call it. I had a significant fall on this trip while hiking which had me reflecting on the interesting deeper ideas around falls. The unakite looks like earth to me with it's vibrant greens and oranges. The beautiful sunstone seems as if it is falling and could join these rich colors. Thus falling to earth is way of coming into the world in a grounded and visceral way. It's a joining of the person and the world around the person. May this ring be a deep grounding in the connectedness we all have to eachother and the planet.
